Everything goes through the manager
OMSBL is governed by an Executive Committee that meets only when there are pertinent agenda items, in person or remotely, and distributes minutes to team managers by email within a week. It hosts quarterly manager meetings in March and December to hand out league information and equipment and to hear whatever the managers bring, which then goes on the committee's agenda.
The communication rule is explicit and total: email is the official channel, managers are the official team representatives, and all player communication is expected to funnel through the manager to the committee. Latino league players communicate through their league liaisons.
The league names Larry Kaiser as a board member with a contact number on its site; we have not reproduced the digits here. Nobody else on the committee is named.
A structure where every player's question has to pass through his manager's inbox is a structure that loses questions. A High Cheese league page gives each role a working contact and puts the schedule, the rules and the roster where a player can read them without asking anyone.
