Omaha MSBL Rules

Wood bats, a pitching age floor, and a code of conduct enforced by the Executive Committee.

Adult attitudes must always prevail

The league's mission statement is also its rulebook in miniature. OMSBL describes itself as a private organisation intended to give its members the chance to play baseball in a safe yet competitive environment, and then sets the standard: adult attitudes must always prevail, no matter how competitive any team is. Responsibility for keeping that true is placed on the Executive Committee, the managers and the players together, and anyone violating the Code of Conduct can be suspended or expelled by order of the committee.

The playing rules published are the two structural ones: wood bats only in the 22+ division, and a pitcher must be 30 in the calendar year.

The Code of Conduct itself is not on the public site, which means the document that can get a man expelled is one he has to ask his manager for. A High Cheese league page keeps the rules and the code at the league's own address, attached to the season they govern.
