The league dates itself to 1988 and keeps a news item headed omsbl publicity since 1988, with archived video attached. Its homepage carries a strip labelled Blast From The Past holding the pieces of its own record it has managed to keep: the 2022 OMSBL champions, the Omaha Cowboys; a Phoenix world series; a 2022 Florida series; a 2020 all-star game at Werner Park with its coaches and a pitcher photographed; and an opening day of 19 April 2023 with the note that the schedule is posted.
Werner Park is the Omaha Storm Chasers' ground, and getting an amateur all-star game onto it is the kind of thing a league should be able to point at forever.
Instead it is a caption in a scrolling strip, alongside a schedule notice three years stale. Seasons kept on a High Cheese league page stay at the league's own address with the year attached, so a 1988 founding eventually has thirty-eight champions behind it rather than one.
