A real bracket, and it needed one
The league finished each season with a double-elimination tournament and published the bracket — 2019, 2020 and 2021 each have one on the site. The 2021 edition shows exactly why the format matters: Fremont Batting Range came through the winner's bracket, lost the first final, and had to win the second 8-7 to take the title.
Running true double elimination in a six-team league means a side can lose once and still win, which is the fairest way to end a short season. High Cheese builds and runs a bracket off the standings a season produced, double elimination included, so a final that requires a reset game is scheduled as one.
