Every season ended in early August
The recorded fixtures run through the summer to an August finish: the 2021 championship on August 3, the 2019 title decided on August 12, the 2017 championship on August 8, the 2016 on August 3.
Finishing in the first fortnight of August, consistently across a decade, is the rhythm of a rural Ohio league working around harvest and the start of the school year. No season start date is published. A High Cheese calendar carries the whole run and syncs to every player's phone, so a short season's dates reach the men who have to plan around them.
