No corporate sponsors, no paid staff
The league states it plainly: FAABL is one hundred percent volunteer-run, with no corporate sponsors and no paid staff, just players and community members who love the game and want to see it thrive. Its funding comes from player fees of around $150 and from the store.
Two of its past champions were named for local businesses — HooDoo Brewers, Lavelle's Taphouse — so backing has existed at team level even where the league takes none. High Cheese carries sponsor placement on team pages as well as league pages, which is the arrangement this league already has, made visible.
