The true league champion
At the end of the regular season the top four teams met in the playoffs to find, in the league's phrase, the true league champion. In 2022 August 21st was held back as a make-up weekend and August 28th was set as championship weekend.
Reserving a spare Sunday before the final one is the mark of somebody who has been rained out in September before. No winner of any year is published here. High Cheese builds and runs the bracket off the standings the season already produced and keeps the result attached to it, so the true league champion is a name on a page rather than a phrase.
