The largest operation in the directory
Chicago North MSBL is in its 39th season and runs six age divisions: 18+, 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+ and 65+. It carries between 56 and 60 teams.
Nothing else in this set is close to that size. Sixty clubs across six brackets, in one metropolitan area, is roughly the scale of a small professional organization run entirely by amateurs.
A 65+ division is the other thing worth stopping on. Very few leagues anywhere carry one, and a league that does has men playing hardball who were born before the Kennedy administration.
It publishes a hotline number, 847-604-2444, which no other league here does.
High Cheese runs six divisions as six seasons at one address, each with its own schedule, table and rosters, which at sixty clubs is the difference between an organization and a filing system.
