Counted on the front page
The league leads with 39th Season, and keeps a League History section in its main navigation.
Counting the seasons in the masthead rather than giving a founding year is a different instinct, and a better one for a reader: it says how long this has been going without making anybody do arithmetic. Thirty-nine seasons puts the first one around 1987.
Growing from a start to sixty teams across six divisions, including a 65+ bracket, is the whole history in one number.
Every season played on High Cheese is kept as standings, box scores and rosters together, so the fortieth has the thirty-nine before it underneath.
