The gap is the story
The league keeps its awards in two archives: 1994 to 2007, and 2013 to 2024. Between them sits a five-year hole, 2008 to 2012, with nothing recorded.
It also keeps a History section and a Previous Championships page.
Nobody publishes a gap like that on purpose. Either the league went quiet for five years and came back, or the records from those seasons were lost with whoever kept them. In a league whose stated purpose is preserving amateur baseball in Chicago, a missing half-decade is the argument for its own existence.
Every season played on High Cheese is kept as standings, box scores and rosters together, which is how a gap stops being possible.
