Eighteen to seventy, in two divisions
Alamo MSBL describes itself as a friendly recreational baseball league in San Antonio, and the age spread backs the word up: players as young as 18 and as old as 70. It runs an Open Division at 18 and over and a second division for 30 and over, and it says plainly that it is always looking for new players and teams.
That last part is the honest state of most leagues this size, and it is usually the hardest thing to act on, because a man who wants to play has no way to find the roster with a hole in it. High Cheese gives a league a free agent pool and a manager who can see who is available before the season starts, which turns an open invitation into an actual roster spot.
