Rhode Island MSBL

About the Rhode Island Men's Senior Baseball League

Three age divisions, nineteen clubs, and twenty-nine ballparks in the smallest state in the union.

Nineteen clubs in a state you can drive across in an hour

The RIMSBL runs divisions at 28, 40 and 50, with nineteen teams between them and games spread across twenty-nine grounds from Woonsocket down to Narragansett and out over the Massachusetts line into Fall River, Swansea and Seekonk.

Several clubs field sides in two divisions at once -- the Colt 45's, the Seadogs, the Braves and Strike FX Smokies all run a younger team and an older one -- which is how a small state keeps forty-year-olds and fifty-year-olds in the same organisation instead of losing them to separate leagues.

The league keeps standings, schedules, statistics, message boards, a rulebook, a documents section and a Hall of Fame, all on a rented platform behind a login prompt. A High Cheese league page puts the schedule, the standings and every roster at an address the league owns, which for a competition already this well organised is the same information landing somewhere a searching player can reach it.
