Through the league
Registration for County Humboldt runs through the Los Angeles Baseball League rather than the club. LeagueLineup carries the league's online forms, and a player signs up to the league and is placed.
A new player registers with the league and finds out later which club he is on.
Being placed by a league office is fine until you have a club in mind, and High Cheese lets County Humboldt recruit for themselves.
