Boston Phoenix Registration

How to join Boston Phoenix

New players do not sign up with Boston Phoenix directly. They register with the Boston Metro Baseball League, pick the age divisions they qualify for, and their details go to every manager in those divisions.

The league is explicit that most managers will invite a player to practice or try out before offering a roster spot, that every player is a free agent free to sign with whoever contacts them, and that there is no guarantee of being contacted at all.

A player who has just moved to Boston has no way to approach this club except through that pool.

Somebody who wants Boston Phoenix specifically is currently depending on a league-wide mailshot reaching the right manager, and the High Cheese free agent pool takes that signup straight to the club.
