The published rulebook, and it is a real one
Nine innings or three hours, whichever comes first, and no new inning after two hours fifty. Run rules at 20 after 6, 15 after 7, 10 after 8. Wood bat only, with BAUM and other wood-composites allowed. Eight players is enough to start without forfeiting. Up to two designated non-runners per game may use courtesy runners. A pitcher may leave the mound for another position and only the starting pitcher may come back, once.
Team fees cover fifteen players, anyone past fifteen costs an extra $50, and the roster caps at 24. There is a zero tolerance policy: threats or physical abuse mean immediate ejection and a ban for the season.
That is a more complete rulebook than most leagues in this directory publish, and every one of those rules has to be applied by somebody at a field on a Tuesday night. Scoring on High Cheese enforces the ones a scorekeeper shouldn't have to remember, and keeps the rest beside the schedule where the manager reads them.
