Silicon Valley, unable to serve a page
There is a particular joke in this one. San Jose NABA is unreachable because the hosting platform it rents cannot connect to its own database, and so is the Silicon Valley Adult Baseball League a few miles away, on the same platform, for the same reason.
Two adult baseball leagues in the capital of the software industry, both taken off the web by a vendor outage neither can do anything about.
The page reads HomeTeamsONLINE.com - Error, offers one sentence about the failure, and supplies a reference number.
Our records also carry a third San Jose league whose own site refuses ordinary requests outright.
A High Cheese league page renders the schedule, the standings and every roster as plain pages at an address the league owns. In a valley full of people who could build that in a weekend, the leagues themselves have been renting it -- and this is the week that bill came due.
