About San Jose MSBL

A 406: the server is there, and it has decided not to answer.

Not Acceptable

HTTP 406 is a rare and specific refusal. It does not mean the page is missing or the server is down. It means the server received the request, understood it, and decided it would not produce anything the requester said it would accept.

In practice it is almost always a security layer rejecting anything that does not look sufficiently like a person -- which means sjmsbl.com is turning away search engines, archives and directories along with everything else.

This is the third San Jose league in these records to be unreadable. The NABA affiliate and the Silicon Valley league are both behind a platform outage; this one is refusing the request itself.

Three adult baseball leagues in a city of a million people, none of them legible, in the place where the web was largely built. A High Cheese league page serves plain pages to anyone who asks -- the schedule, the standings and every roster -- at an address the league owns and a server that answers.
