Who the Pirates are
The Pirates are an adult baseball club in the Northern Illinois Men's Baseball League, northern Illinois.
Eight of the thirty-one clubs the directory carries for this league took a name the major leagues still use. The Pirates are one of them.
HomeTeamsOnline stopped answering, and every club on it stopped having a website. That is thirty-one clubs in this league alone, the Pirates among them.
Its account identifier is a person's first name and five digits, which is what a league looks like when one volunteer signed it up.
A club that goes dark when a database does is a club with no public existence, and High Cheese gives the Pirates one that does not depend on it.
