Who the Bats are
The Bats are an adult baseball club in the Northern Illinois Men's Baseball League, northern Illinois.
The Bats are one of twenty-three clubs in this league whose name came from somewhere other than the major leagues.
HomeTeamsOnline stopped answering, and every club on it stopped having a website. That is thirty-one clubs in this league alone, the Bats among them.
Its account identifier is a person's first name and five digits, which is what a league looks like when one volunteer signed it up.
Somebody looking for the Bats today finds an error page, and a High Cheese page answers that search with the club instead.
