Eight start times, and daylight for the seniors
League play runs mid-April through September. The published game times are exact: Monday to Friday at 1pm for the 62+ and 70+, then 7:15, 7:30 and 7:45 in the evening; Saturday and Sunday at 9:00am, 12:15pm, 3:30pm and 7:00pm. Each division has its own night — 18+ Sunday, 25+ Wednesday and Thursday, 35+ Monday, 45+ Tuesday and Sunday, 55+ Saturday, 62+ Tuesday afternoons, 70+ Thursday afternoons.
Giving the two oldest divisions a 1pm weekday slot, while everybody else plays at quarter past seven, is a scheduling decision made entirely for the benefit of men who would rather not drive home in the dark. Eight staggered start times is how sixty teams fit on seven fields. A High Cheese calendar carries all seven divisions on one subscription and syncs to every player's phone.
