Top of the Long Island 55+ division
The Long Island Tides are an adult baseball club playing the 55+ division of the Long Island MSBL/MABL. They went 14-3 in 2026 under manager Jim Forde, the best record in the bracket.
Seventeen games and three defeats, from a roster where the youngest man is fifty-five.
The 55+ division is where this league gets genuinely unusual. Seven clubs, all of them men past middle age, playing a full summer schedule on Long Island fields, and one of them lost three times all year.
Fourteen wins at fifty-five and over is a better story than any table will tell, and a High Cheese page is where the Tides get to tell it.
