Rome, in the Mohawk Valley
Central New York names its towns after classical civilisations -- Rome, Utica, Syracuse -- and Rome sits in the Mohawk Valley with about thirty thousand people and a long industrial past.
The adult baseball league there appears in our directory as a name with no address: no website, no social page, no listing.
Its neighbour Syracuse, forty miles west, is in these records too, with a dot-org domain that has stopped resolving. So the two nearest leagues in this part of New York are both unreadable -- one because its domain lapsed, one because it never had one.
A High Cheese league page is a permanent address with the schedule, the grounds and every roster rendered as pages. In a valley where the nearest alternative is forty miles away and equally invisible, being the one league somebody can find is worth more than being the better one.
