One over in the Long Island 35+ division
The Garden City Mets are an adult baseball club playing the 35+ division of the Long Island MSBL/MABL. They went 7-6-1 in 2026 under manager John Sorensen.
Fourteen games and one over. Garden City is a Nassau County village of about twenty-two thousand, and the club takes the least surprising name available to anybody playing baseball within forty miles of Flushing.
A tie means the game was called before it resolved, which on Long Island in the summer usually means the light went.
Seven and six is a season that reads as nothing at all in a table, and a High Cheese page gives Garden City somewhere the fourteen games are visible.
