Nite
The league publishes no founding year, champions or former clubs. The association keeps State Archives and an Honors section.
What survives is the spelling. First Nite, with that e dropped, is how things were written when they were painted on a board or set in newspaper type, and a league carrying it has been called that long enough for nobody to consider changing it.
Every season played on High Cheese is kept as standings, box scores and rosters together.
