The name is the treaty
The league publishes no founding year, champions or former clubs. The association keeps State Archives and an Honors section.
What the name preserves is an arrangement: Dakota, Rice and Scott counties, three separate places, pooling clubs into one competition. Somebody negotiated that, and it is the only trace.
Every season played on High Cheese is kept as standings, box scores and rosters together, so an arrangement like that has a record.
