Backed at club level, never at league level
The league names no sponsors and runs no sponsorship page. Its clubs plainly carry backers — MaxBat took the AA championship in 2016 under a bat maker's name, and Hastings Bierstubs won in 1991 under a bar's.
Forty years of that and not one of them acknowledged in public is a lot of goodwill going unrecorded. High Cheese carries sponsor placement on team pages as well as league pages, which is where a club named for its backer would actually put it.
