A page, not a person
The league keeps a Contact DC Wood section. No email address, phone number or officer renders on the readable page.
For a league writing match reports this good, the absence of a byline is conspicuous: somebody is doing that work and is not named.
A claimed league on High Cheese has a contact a person and a search engine can both read.
DC Wood in detail
- Twenty years old, seven jurisdictions, and the league that took the metal bats away first.
- Championships on Sunday, and fall ball open for 2026.
- The Mallards finished 21-1-2 and won the Capital Division.
- Pitching lines, innings, strikeouts and the inning the game turned in.
- The DMV Vandals and the Arlington Mallards, and a division called Capital.
- A Series MVP with his batting line attached: .429, 2 RBI, 4 runs.
- A tryout and draft at West Potomac High School, and forty players taken.
- West Potomac High School hosted the draft, and one ballpark has a double wall.
- Wood bats exclusively, and this league was the first in the area to do it.
- Championship reports written like a beat writer's, with hashtags.
- A championship photo archive covering previous title teams.
- Nobody is thanked in public.
- The DMV Vandals went back to back, and the trophy has a name.
- A DCW History section, twenty years of league, and an eighteen-game winning streak.
- No officers are named, though one club's skipper is.
- What kind of baseball this is, answered better than anywhere. Cost, not at all.
- A privacy policy, and a history section doing the work of an archive.
- A March draft, a spring/summer season, a championship Sunday, and fall ball.
- Nothing is for sale.
- No crew or assignor is named.
