A Hall of Fame and no founding year
The league keeps a Hall of Fame section and publishes newsletters. It states no founding year, names no past champions on its front page, and its footer carries a 2023 copyright.
A Hall of Fame is the clearest signal in this directory that a league takes its own past seriously. It is also, on this site, a link rather than a list: the names are behind it and not on the page a stranger lands on.
Every season played on High Cheese is kept as standings, box scores and rosters together, so the record behind a Hall of Fame is checkable rather than remembered.
