Eighteen to thirty-nine
The Upsala Blue Jays publish a roster with jersey numbers, positions, ages, bats and throws, school and experience level. The ages on it run from eighteen to thirty-nine.
Twenty-one years, straight out of high school to the late thirties, from a city of four hundred people. In a county fielding eleven clubs out of thirty-four thousand residents, holding sixteen games' worth of roster together is the whole job.
The roster stays where Upsala Blue Jays put it. Republishing a list of named people with their ages and schools attached is not something a directory gets to decide for a club.
18 to 39 on one bench is a fact worth surfacing, and High Cheese puts a club's roster where the club can shape it.
