A short northern summer
The Aitkin Steam play a summer season of Victory C League games, region games and invitational tournaments, published on their Minnesota Baseball Association team page.
Aitkin is up on the Mississippi in central Minnesota, which is far enough north that nobody pretends the season can be stretched at either end.
The 10-8 came out of a season split across four calendars; High Cheese keeps a club's games and its record on one.
