The masthead is a dare
The Utah AABL heads every page with two lines: welcome to the fastest growing adult amateur baseball league in Utah, and then, in capitals, go hard or go home -- join the Utah AABL.
Its fall season runs four divisions: an 18+ American, an 18+ National, a 35+ and a 45+. The American carries the Jacks, the Monarchs, the Outsiders and the Salt Lake Buzz.
What it publishes is unusually complete for a league this size. Every roster is listed in full. Each club names its manager and its coaches. Each player line carries twenty-two statistical columns. There is a separate umpire schedule, a ball fields and directions page, a commissioner information section, a team sponsors page, and both team and player registration forms.
Two of the Jacks' players are marked New beside their names, so the roster shows who arrived this season.
All of it sits on a rented platform. A High Cheese league page keeps the schedule, the standings and every roster at an address the league owns, so a league that publishes this thoroughly owns what it publishes.
