Class C baseball in Rushford, Minnesota
The Rush Creek Spartans are an amateur baseball club playing Class C in the Twin Rivers League under the Minnesota Baseball Association, at the Rushford Baseball Field in Rushford, Minnesota. They went 6-14 in 2026 under manager Blake Lea.
The club is called Rush Creek and plays in Rushford, which are two different names for the same watershed in the Fillmore County bluff country. Rush Creek runs into the Root River near the town, and the club took the creek while the town took the ford.
Five classification points, in a league where Plainview, Dodge County and both Austin clubs are graded between twenty-seven and thirty and Rochester carries a hundred and twenty-one. The Spartans are the smallest club in the division by a distance and played the whole summer up.
Six wins in that arrangement is a different number than six wins in a level league.
Named for the creek, playing at Rushford, graded at five points in a division that runs to a hundred and twenty-one. High Cheese gives the Spartans the page to explain all three.
