Class C baseball in Farming, Minnesota

The Farming Flames are an amateur baseball club from Farming, Minnesota, playing Class C in the Stearns County South League under the Minnesota Baseball Association. They went 7-12 in 2026 under manager Dale Schroeder at Schleper Brothers Field.

The town is called Farming. Not Farmington, not Farmingdale. Farming, an unincorporated German Catholic settlement in Stearns County, which named itself after the activity and never felt the need to dress it up.

Fourteen classification points, and the ballpark is filed under Richmond because that is where the mail goes. Schleper Brothers Field is named for a family rather than one man, which is how a place this size acknowledges that it took more than one of them.

The Stearns County South League is a league inside a single county, and that county is the deepest town ball country in the United States. Seven wins in it is not the same as seven wins somewhere else.

A place actually called Farming, at Schleper Brothers Field, filed under a Richmond address. High Cheese lets a settlement keep its own name on its own page.
