Seven, which is why there is always a bye
The league fields the Blues, the Yard Dogs, the Snappers, the Aviators, the Rattlers, the Senators and the Cougars.
Seven is the awkward number. Every week one club sits out, marked BYE on the fixture list, and the schedule rotates it -- the Blues in one week, the Senators in another.
The league keeps a rosters section and a divisions section, so the internal structure is more than a single table.
A High Cheese team page belongs to the club rather than the season, so the Yard Dogs keep one address across every roster and result -- and an eighth club joining removes the bye without anybody rebuilding a schedule by hand.
