Including The Birdcage
The league plays at Karras Park, home of Ronken Field at Augustana University; First National Bank Field at Aspen Park in Brandon; grounds at Larchwood, Iowa and Valley Springs; and, when available, at a park it calls The Birdcage.
A university ballpark and a named professional-standard field is a good circuit for a recreational league, and crossing into Iowa for a Sunday is the sort of thing only a border-city league does.
That last entry -- when available, The Birdcage -- is the honest note of a league that takes what it can get.
A High Cheese schedule attaches the ground to each game, so a Sunday at Augustana and a Sunday in Larchwood arrive with the right address on them.
