Philadelphia Amateur Baseball League

Philadelphia Amateur Baseball League Statistics

An official statkeeper, post-season awards, and no public numbers.

Counted for a reason

This league counts more than most. It tracks innings pitched by college players against a per-team seasonal cap, appearances against a fifty per cent playoff threshold, defensive innings and plate appearances against a minimum-playing-time rule, and games played against a roster-addition cutoff. It refers to an official statkeeper and to post-season awards that depend on the book being kept.

None of those numbers is published anywhere a player can check them.

Season and career leaderboards that build themselves from the scored games are standard on a High Cheese league page, with a page for each player underneath -- which is also the only way anyone can verify that a team has six college innings left or that a man has hit his fifty per cent.
