An outgrowth, and a link that is coming
The league states its own descent in one line: it is a direct outgrowth of the Oahu Baseball League, long established on Oahu. It then points readers to an upcoming history-of-the-league link, which has not arrived. Our own directory still files it under the older name, which is why this record reads Oahu MABL and the site reads Honolulu.
What is actually recorded goes back to spring 2024 on the homepage and to summer 2021 on the division pages: eleven seasons of schedules, standings and brackets, with the Dodgers taking spring 2026.
A history that has been promised for years is a history nobody has anywhere to put. On a High Cheese league page it accumulates as a side effect of the seasons -- every champion, every roster, every result staying readable at the league's own address rather than as the eleventh file down the page.
Oahu MABL in detail
- An all-wood-bat league playing three seasons a year on Oahu, grown out of the older Oahu Baseball League.
- The summer 2026 schedule is a PDF, and it is on its thirteenth revision.
- Results and standings are published as documents, revised up to nineteen times a season.
- Results ride along inside the standings documents rather than existing as games.
- Sixteen clubs across Open and D2, with some of the best names in adult baseball.
- Both divisions have player and team stats pages, last populated for Summer 2021.
- One name, one mobile, one personal email, on every page of the site.
- A fresh waiver every season, filed through the platform, with a parental waiver for anyone under 18.
- The facilities page is also unedited template: FACILITY #1 and FACILITY #2.
- A combined code of conduct and rulebook, currently on its sixth version.
- Season recaps for fall 2023 and summer 2022, filed under past seasons.
- No gallery is published.
- The league calls them partners and treats them as services rather than logos.
- Every season ends in a bracket, and the league has run an inter-island tournament as a fundraiser.
- The board page was never filled in: it still reads Jane Doe, President.
- The league answers standard, ability and schedule; it never answers price.
- A rulebook, a waiver, and a COVID-19 procedures plan still on its fifth version.
- Three seasons a year with roughly stated start and end dates, and an empty calendar page.
- Cage deals, a glove relacer with a price list, and a custom wood bat maker.
- No crew, association or assignor is named.
