Two names on a dead address
The only surviving artefact of this league is its URL, and the URL says more than the page does. The host is memphismsbl -- Memphis, Men's Senior Baseball League -- and the path is /view/midsouth/, the sub-site the league ran under the regional name. One organisation, two identities, filed in our directory under the second one. The league's own short domain, memphismsbl.com, no longer resolves.
Request either and you land on stacksports.com, a company front page about sports software. Everything the league published -- whatever its divisions were, whoever ran it, however many summers it got through in west Tennessee -- went when the host it rented was folded into the buyer. A league whose seasons live on High Cheese keeps them at an address it owns, so an acquisition on the vendor's side is a billing event rather than an erasure.
If you played in the Mid-South league and still have a schedule, a roster or a photograph, that is now the primary source, and we would take it.
