Through the league
Registration for River City Rippers runs through the Huntsville Roy Hobbs Baseball rather than the club. LeagueLineup carries the league's online forms, and a player signs up to the league and is placed.
Placement is the league's decision, so choosing River City Rippers specifically is not something the form asks about.
Being placed by a league office is fine until you have a club in mind, and High Cheese lets River City Rippers recruit for themselves.
