Class A baseball in Elko New Market, Minnesota

The Elko Express are an amateur baseball club from Elko New Market, Minnesota, playing Class A in the Dakota Rice Scott League under the Minnesota Baseball Association. They went 21-7-2 in 2026 under manager Terry Fredrickson, at Fredrickson Field.

The manager's surname is the ballpark's name. It is the second time that has turned up in this set, after Atwater, and the association explains it neither time. In a town this size the answer is common knowledge and therefore never written down.

Two ties in one season is the most of anybody here. Ties mean darkness, curfews or a field somebody else had booked, and Elko collected a pair of them across thirty games.

Fifty-five classification points is mid Class A, and twenty-one wins from it is a strong summer in a league that stretches across three counties south of the Twin Cities.

Elko New Market is itself two towns joined by a hyphen and a merger, which makes the club's name the shortest thing about the place.

Twenty-one wins, two ties, and a ballpark named for the man managing the club. High Cheese keeps all three of those on Elko's own page rather than across three of somebody else's.
