The Freeport Black Sox publish a roster with jersey numbers, positions, ages, bats and throws, school and experience level. The ages on it run from eighteen to forty-nine.

Thirty-one years across one bench in a town of seven hundred. In Stearns County that is ordinary, and the reason it is ordinary is that every town within twenty miles is also fielding a side and there are only so many men to go around.

We do not reprint it. It is a list of named people with their ages and schools attached, and Freeport Black Sox publishing it does not make it ours to copy.
