Sixteen to thirty-five
The St. Stephen Steves publish a roster with jersey numbers, positions, ages, bats and throws, school and experience level. The ages on it run from sixteen to thirty-five.
Nineteen years, starting with a high school sophomore. In a county where nine other clubs are recruiting from the same townships, a city of nine hundred playing Class B needs the sixteen-year-old and cannot be choosy about the rest.
We do not reprint it. It is a list of named people with their ages and schools attached, and St. Stephen Steves publishing it does not make it ours to copy. Several of them are minors.
A roster running 16 to 35 is the most interesting thing about St. Stephen Steves, and on High Cheese the club decides how much of it is public.
