Class B baseball in Sobieski, Minnesota
The Sobieski Skis are an amateur baseball club from Sobieski, Minnesota, playing Class B in the Victory B League under the Minnesota Baseball Association. They went 11-7 in 2026 under manager Matt Baier at the Sobieski Ballpark.
The village is named after Jan III Sobieski, the Polish king who broke the siege of Vienna in 1683, and the baseball club shortened it to the Skis. It is the only mascot in this directory derived from a seventeenth century monarch by way of a suffix.
Thirty-one classification points is upper Class B for a Morrison County village of about two hundred people.
Morrison County continues to be the most concentrated baseball country in this set. Sobieski joins Royalton, Randall, Flensburg, Buckman, Fort Ripley and all three Pierz clubs, which is nine teams from thirty-four thousand people.
The ballpark is on Cable Road and filed under Little Falls, because Sobieski has no post office.
Named for the Polish king who broke the siege of Vienna in 1683, shortened to the Skis. High Cheese gives Sobieski the page where a village of two hundred can carry that.
