Sleepy Eye is a Brown County town of about three thousand five hundred, named after the Dakota leader Ish-Tak-Ha-Ba, whose name was translated as Sleepy Eyes. It is also the postal address for the Leavenworth Orioles and the Essig Bluejays, both townships in the same league with no post office of their own.
Five classification points is near the floor of Class C. The Tomahawk East is a division of very small prairie places and Sleepy Eye is one of the larger ones in it.
Named for the Dakota leader Ish-Tak-Ha-Ba, and the postal address for two other clubs in the same league. High Cheese gives Sleepy Eye a High Cheese page.
