The Red River Amateur Baseball League

About The Red River Amateur Baseball League

Six clubs on the Dakota border, four of them Class A, and Moorhead fields two.

Ada, Dilworth, Fergus Falls, Moorhead twice, Sabin

Ada Athletics, Dilworth Raildogs, Fergus Falls Hurricanes, Moorhead Brewers, Moorhead Mudcats and Sabin Mets.

Four of the six are Class A Section 5, which for a six-club league on the western edge of the state is a serious concentration. Dilworth, Moorhead Brewers, Moorhead Mudcats and Sabin all carry the top grade. Fergus Falls are Class B and Ada Class C.

Moorhead fields two Class A clubs, and Dilworth and Sabin are effectively Moorhead suburbs, so four of these six sides come from one metropolitan area straddling the Red River from Fargo.

Dilworth are the Raildogs, which is a railroad town naming itself accurately.

The association's own address for this league spells amateur wrong, which has presumably been that way for years.

High Cheese gives a league its own address with the schedule, the table and the rosters on it.
