Twenty-two to forty-four
The Twin City Saints publish a roster with jersey numbers, positions, ages, bats and throws, school and experience level. The ages on it run from twenty-two to forty-four.
Twenty-two years, and the oldest roster of the five clubs at this ballpark by a wide margin. The Mudhens run eighteen to twenty-three and the Hops nineteen to twenty-five, and both of those won eighteen games or more.
The Saints are the one carrying men into their forties at three hundred and thirty-seven classification points, and they finished thirteen games under. In a league that has become a college pipeline, that is what an older roster costs.
None of it is reproduced here. A published roster is real people from Saint Paul with their ages and schools attached, and it is theirs rather than ours.
Twin City Saints hand their roster to a platform that decides how it looks; High Cheese hands that decision back to Saint Paul.
