Class A baseball in Bloomington, Minnesota

The Minneapolis North Stars are an amateur baseball club playing Class A in the Skyline League under the Minnesota Baseball Association, at Red Haddox Field in Bloomington, Minnesota. They went 2-14 in 2026 under manager Ryan Polehonka.

The club is named Minneapolis, plays in Bloomington, and carries the name of the hockey team that left Minnesota for Dallas in 1993. The Henning North Stars up in Otter Tail County do the same thing. Two clubs, three hundred miles apart, both still flying a flag for a franchise that has been gone for over thirty years.

A hundred and eleven classification points is a serious metropolitan grade, level with MacStrength, who also went badly, and two wins in sixteen games is a long way under it.

The North Stars travelled to Hinckley in June for the Brennan Field Classic, four hours round trip, alongside Ada and the Metro Knights. A 2-14 club still driving to Pine County for a June weekend is a club that wants baseball more than it wants a record.

Named Minneapolis, playing in Bloomington, carrying a hockey team that left in 1993. High Cheese gives the North Stars a page that can hold all three without anybody getting lost.
