Eighteen to thirty-seven
The Metro Knights publish a roster with jersey numbers, positions, ages, bats and throws, school and experience level. The ages on it run from eighteen to thirty-seven.
Nineteen years, straight out of high school to the late thirties, across a thirty game season. That is a genuine metropolitan Class A roster, deep enough to play that many dates and not deep enough to win most of them.
None of it is reproduced here. A published roster is real people from White Bear Lake with their ages and schools attached, and it is theirs rather than ours.
18 to 37 on one bench is a fact worth surfacing, and High Cheese puts a club's roster where the club can shape it.
