Class A baseball in Sartell, Minnesota

The Sartell Stone Poneys are an amateur baseball club from Sartell, Minnesota, playing Class A in the Sauk Valley League under the Minnesota Baseball Association. They went 13-7 in 2026 under manager Jeff Amann at the St. Cloud Orthopedics Field.

The Stone Poneys were Linda Ronstadt's band in the late sixties, and this is the only club in this directory named after a rock group. The spelling with the E is theirs too, taken from a Charley Patton blues record by way of Los Angeles and somehow arriving in central Minnesota.

Sartell fields two Class A clubs in the same league, at consecutive street numbers. The Stone Poneys are at 804 12th Street North on the St. Cloud Orthopedics Field. The Sartell Muskies are at 802, at a ground the association calls Orthopedic Sports. Same sponsor, two addresses, two clubs, one town of about twenty thousand.

Twenty-nine classification points is the second lowest Class A grade in this set, and thirteen wins from it is well ahead.

The only club in this directory named after a rock band, at 804 where the other Sartell side is at 802. High Cheese gives the Stone Poneys a page and an address of their own.
