Class A baseball in New Hope, Minnesota

The Plymouth Hitdawg are an amateur baseball club playing Class A in the Riverview League under the Minnesota Baseball Association, at a ballpark the association lists as Lighted Field in New Hope, Minnesota. They went 8-13 in 2026 under manager Ryan Masui.

Hitdawg. Singular, and spelled the way somebody wanted it spelled rather than the way the word is. It joins Forest Lake Brewer and New Ulm Brewer in the small set of Minnesota clubs that refused to pluralize.

The ballpark's name is Lighted Field, which is not a name so much as its most important property. In a metropolitan league where most diamonds are not lit, being the one with lights is worth putting on the sign.

A hundred and twenty-one classification points is high metropolitan Class A. The Riverview also holds Minnetonka at 26-8 on eighty-nine points and Baseball 365 at 19-12 on a hundred and twenty-six, so the Hitdawg finished behind two clubs graded around them.

The club is named Plymouth and plays in New Hope, two adjacent Hennepin County suburbs.

Hitdawg, singular and spelled to suit itself, at a ballpark called Lighted Field. High Cheese gives Plymouth the page where both of those read as decisions.
